TIP trace your shapes with either a pencil or a pen on the reverse side of the paper, then remove the template and use your scissors or a craft knife and ruler to cut the shapes.

Alternatively use a metallic pen to trace the pattern onto the front of the paper to edge each layer/design with a colour - this also disguises wobbly lines when cutting!

Do not try to use the craft knife on the template itself— because the plastic is lightweight, you might cut into it.
