To heat emboss, you simply use a pigment stamp pad to ink up your rubber stamp design, stamp down on your paper/card, then whilst the ink is still wet, scatter over embossing powder, tap off the excess, then heat the remaining powder until you achieve a shiny enamel-effect.....easy!
