Try these ideas for your cards.
Take a stamp, not too fancy and lay on the table rubber side up. Place a
piece of velvet, velvet side down over the stamp. Now take a hot iron and
iron the paper side of the velvet. Don't panic your stamp wont melt.
Gently iron over for about 20 seconds. Take off the velvet and the
impression of your stamp will appear in the velvet.
If using a craft punch, turn the paper and punch over so you see the bottom of the punch. This way you can place the punch close to the edge so you don't waste any of the paper.
